It’s that time of year again, and what a strange time it is at present.
There’s a great deal of uncertainty and a general feeling of anti-climax to this years’ festivities.
However, it is essential to find some festive spirit. It’s been a long and difficult year. I have no doubt lots of people were hoping that by December we’d be able to relax and unwind.
I would recommend that you find whatever way you can to do just that. Be it some time with friends and loved ones, even if it’s just on Christmas day itself. Of course, this has to be done in a considered way, talk to those you’d like to see and check they’re comfortable with you being present.
None of us can avoid the fact that Covid-19 is a real and present danger for some more than others. Yet, by being mindful we can find ways to still bring some joy and merriment to this time of year (and hopefully 2021 too). Within the tier system there are still ways that lots of people can still share the priceless moments of being together.
Those that sadly can’t this year, please look to find ways to make your time as merry and bearable as possible. Of course share a thought for all those who are working over the festive period, I hope they can find a way to recuperate in the weeks to come.
Please take care of yourselves and those around you.
Have as wonderful a Christmas as you can.
