How often do you stop and take the time to appreciate the detail of a thing or process? It’s a wonderous thing when you do.
Consider how so much of what you have just appears to “arrive” or be there. Have you even considered how the loaf of bread in your kitchen makes it there? From gain to packed loaf, the process is literally amazing.
If you take the time to appreciate the minutiae of life, it’s a humbling thing.
You might think, why bother?
Because it takes time, slows down the day and allows us to get better at appreciating what’s around us.
We can all get lost in the headlong search for the big things. If we take time to look at the little stuff along the way it enriches life. Attempt to look at life from a young child’s perspective, it’s an inspiring activity. Genuinely marvellous.
There’s a lot of focus on mindfulness and various practices to do so. Yet, you can achieve something similar just taking the time to understand and appreciate what’s around you. It’ll connect you to your world more and it’ll encourage you to think and feel more deeply.
Take your time, feel calmer and enjoy the wonder.
