How’s it going for you?
I think for most people it’s not too bad. The novelty is allowing us to cope.
The trick will be sustaining and maintaining a positive state of wellbeing going forward. It would appear that there are at least a few more weeks of our current housebound lifestyle.
I would urge everyone to make the most of their sanctioned time out. Use your exercise time to get fresh air and stretch your limbs. It’ll reinvigorate and oxygenate your body.
Even on a trip to the supermarket ensure you’re present and take the most you can from the experience, even if it’s just a change of scene.
We all know the rules to stay safe, so observe those whilst meeting your needs as best you can.
This is a time to be thoughtful about your mental health too. As I mentioned in a previous blog, it’s about getting your personal balance of time to yourself and with others. Going out for a walk, run or cycle could be your opportunity for an hour’s relative peace and quiet.
When you do feel like being in touch with others, reach out to those you’ve not spoken to for a while as well as your close circle. It’ll be good to feel part of a wider network, plus it’ll feel good for those people to be thought off.
