It’s the prelude to winter.
Darker, longer nights. Cooler, wetter weather.
It seems an obvious time to become melancholy.
Yet, there’s so much that can be savoured in this season.
The lush colours in the natural world.
The crunch of fallen leaves on a brisk walk.
The joy of bright scarves, found at the back of wardrobes & cupboards.
Hearty food & warm, rich drinks.
Time indoors with friends & family.
Favourite corners to relax & unwind.
Learn to enjoy & go with the seasonal change.
If you fight it you’re just going to prolong the switch & how uncomfortable you’re finding it.
You can still be active, social & work on selfcare.
You’ll just need to find the ways that work to suit the current situation.
Which is great lesson for life in general.
