A lot of us over time find ourselves “stuck”.
Unsure how to make change or solve an issue.
We need to get better at opening our mind to alternate ways of doing things.
We’re all the product of what we’ve learned to date. We often get stuck in well worn tracks of thought and old behaviours.
When faced with a challenge we often come at it as we have in the past. We don’t stop to think about alternate perspectives or even radical solutions.
As an example, a lot of people dislike their job. But they won’t consider leaving as it’s too hard to contemplate the effort to find a new one and the uncertainty being without work might bring.
I’ll often have people say they’d rather be made redundant. Then they’re “forced” to make change.
This has a parallel in ending relationships too.
What we need to consider though, is how much better making a choice feels than having it taken from us.
Choice is empowering.
Therefore, be radical in your thoughts.
Take time to creatively assess a situation. How can you empower yourself to make a choice? Think of all potential solutions, however “odd” or unpalatable they might be.
In amongst them will be some great ways for you to make positive change.
